Atlas Expands LA Development Team
New York-headquartered prodco Atlas Media Corp has expanded its LA-based development team with the promotion of Andrew Jacobs (pictured) to VP of development for the West Coast, as well as two additional hires.
In his new role, Jacobs – who most recently served as the company’s director of development – is to oversee West Coast development, casting, sizzle production and network and producer relationships. Prior to joining Atlas Media Corp, the exec worked in development and production roles at Stephen David Entertainment and MTV.
The company has also hired former director of development for Pioneer Productions Jeramiah Kraus, who will occupy the same position for Atlas’ West Coast development team. Prior to joining Pioneer, Kraus served as development producer for Goodbye Pictures and Maverick TV.
Also joining the West Coast team is Mark Dalbis, who has been named manager of casting. Dalbis’s credits include casting for Relativity, Metal Flowers Media and Authentic Entertainment.
“Our Burbank office started as a modest outpost, but thanks to our growing relationships with indie producers, casting directors and network execs based on the West Coast – as well as several recently greenlit projects – we feel it’s a great time to double down on our LA expansion,” said Bruce David Klein, Atlas Media Corp president and executive producer, in a statement.
“Andrew and his team have done a killer job developing unique formats and sourcing amazing talent and we want to give them the full resources to take things to the next level,” he added.
Atlas’s LA office has been active for a few months, and has signed first-look deals with a range of producers, in addition to developing and selling the forthcoming panel show Epic Win for MTV.
